Hey there, fellow business people! It's time to talk about everyone's favourite topic - marketing! ❤️
I know, you're all thinking, "Oh boy, can't wait to hear more about SEO and conversion rates!" But that's not my objective, I'm here to make marketing fun well we will see. 😉
First things first, let's talk about the dreaded acronym - SEO. Search Engine Optimization. Sounds like something out of a sci-fi movie, right? But really, all it means is making sure your website shows up when people search for things related to your business. So if you sell organic dog food, you want to make sure your website shows up when someone Googles "best organic dog food." Simple, right? Just sprinkle some magic SEO dust on your website and voila! You're at the top of the search results.
Okay, okay, I know it's not that easy. But let's not take ourselves too seriously.
Marketing can be fun if you approach it with the right mindset. For example, have you ever heard of guerrilla marketing? No, it doesn't involve actual gorillas (although that would be pretty cool). It's all about unconventional and creative marketing tactics. Like putting a giant inflatable gorilla outside your store to get people's attention. Or hiring someone to ride around on a unicycle wearing a sandwich board with your business's name on it. Yes, these ideas may sound ridiculous, but they're also memorable and fun - two things that can go a long way in marketing.
And speaking of fun, let's talk about social media. Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and TikTok are all powerful marketing tools, but they're just plain entertaining. I mean, who doesn't love a good cat video or a meme that perfectly captures your mood? Social media allows you to connect with your audience in a more lighthearted and relatable way. Don't be afraid to inject humour into your social media posts - people appreciate a good laugh, especially during stressful times. Recently I saw a video on TikTok go viral because they put a dancing cat on top of their video, sometimes it's the little things. 🐈⬛
Finally, let's talk about the biggest marketing event of the year - the Super Bowl commercials. You know what I'm talking about. The ones that cost millions of dollars and get talked about for weeks afterward. Now, I'm not suggesting you go out and blow your entire marketing budget on one ad (unless you're a mega-corporation, in which case, go for it). But there's something to be said for making a splash. Maybe it's a clever billboard or a viral YouTube video. Whatever it is, find a way to stand out from the crowd and get people talking.

So there you have it, folks. Marketing doesn't have to be a soul-sucking, numbers-driven slog. Embrace the fun and creativity that marketing can offer, and who knows - you might even start to love it. Or at least tolerate it a little more. ✍🏼☺️
